I started this little cozy business from my home because I believe in the magic of handmade things—and nothing feels more magical to me than watching a candle flicker and fill a room with a gentle, natural scent.
Growing up, I was always drawn to nature—whether it was wandering in the woods near my childhood home or spending lazy afternoons experimenting with DIY projects. Somewhere along the way, I discovered soy wax and realized it was not just beautiful but also kind to the planet. That was the spark that lit my journey into candle-making.
Why eco-friendly? Well, I care about the little things. I believe that small choices, like choosing soy wax over paraffin or using cotton wicks instead of metal ones, add up. When you light one of my candles, you’re not just filling your space with a lovely scent—you’re making a mindful choice for a cleaner, greener world.
Every candle I pour is made with love (and a little sprinkle of magic!) using:
- 100% natural soy wax — biodegradable and clean-burning
- Cotton wicks — no harmful metals here!
- Phthalate-free fragrance oils — so the air you breathe is safe and sweet
- Minimal, recyclable packaging — because the earth deserves better
Running this business solo means I get to pour a piece of myself into every product — from hand-mixing scents to packing your orders with care. It’s a lot of work, but honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Being able to share my passion with people who appreciate the same values makes it all worthwhile.
I started Dana’s Candle Cottage because I wanted more than just a hobby—I wanted to create something that brings warmth, comfort, and a little bit of joy into your home, sustainably.
